In my opinion, this is a 5-star village inn. 1. Excellent cuisine and the best Meissen beers. 2. Prices that are a pleasant surprise these days. 3. With one day off, it's almost always open (calling ahead is recommended). 4. Even though the railway no longer runs, it's one of the few remaining pubs, offering a traditional pub atmosphere with card games, dice games, business dealings, stories, anecdotes, and knowledge sharing. 5. Catering and family celebrations of a high standard, in my opinion.

A typical train station like in the GDR. It's simply brilliant that not everything was demolished. We enjoyed the food; the vegetables were locally sourced. And we enjoyed it. Thanks to the manager.

Insider tip. We even spotted a deer from the beer garden. Delicious food, great prices, and a very friendly host. I'm always happy to recommend it to guests. We'll be back! :)

We and our family love being guests at Mr. Callschütz's restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is always very friendly. There's also a lovely wooden pavilion outside, which is a wonderful place to sit in the summer, surrounded by nature, and you can even hear the nightingale. We'd definitely go there for a family celebration, as the prices are still reasonable.

A small, cozy station restaurant with a beer garden and a fantastic owner. Unbeatable value for money, excellent food, a charming East German atmosphere – highly recommended! A must-visit. Sadly, this type of restaurant is becoming extinct.

A truly wonderful restaurant. The food and Mr. Gallschütz's friendliness are second to none. The "Gallertschüssel" (a type of cheese dumpling) is especially recommended. We always enjoy going there. Reservations are essential, as it's usually packed. That pretty much says it all. Closed Wednesdays and Sundays. It's a shame there are so few restaurants like this.

An old train station that doesn't exactly convey the feeling from the outside. The food was beyond excellent, and the owner was very friendly.
